About Us

We are a non-audition choir based in North London open to all and aim to unite and represent the community through the joy of singing.

We were established in 2010 and have around fifty choristers, singing under the direction of Musical Director Tom Fowkes.

We rehearse every Tuesday during term time, 7.30-9.30pm at the Bernie Grant Art Centre, Town Hall Approach Road, Tottenham Green, London N15 4RX

We perform at least twice a year with major concerts at Christmas and in the summer and, other events in the local community throughout the year.

Major works we have performed include:

  • Howard Goodall’s Eternal Light: A Requiem
  • Mozart’s Requiem
  • Rutter’s Gloria
  • Bob Chilcott’s A Little Jazz Mass
  • Faure’s Requiem
  • Handel’s Messiah (various movements)

Our repertoire is varied; we also sing jazz, pop, show songs (including major excerpts from The Sound of Music, A Christmas Carol and Beauty and the Beast) and carols.

The New Tottenham Singers are always happy to welcome new members of any musical experience – you will not need to audition, and if you are unsure where you fit in musically Tom and the Assistant Musical Director can help you find your correct section (Soprano, Alto, Tenor or Bass).  The choir is open to everyone 18+, and you do not need to be a Tottenham resident – some of our members travel from all across London to sing with us.

If you are interested, please drop us an email at info@tottenhamsingers.com or call our Communications Officer Richard, on 07587 415658.  Our usual termly fee is £75, with concessions for the over 65s.
